XOLO is still in the game of smartphones, and the new model from the company is another low-end midrange smartphone. Today, the company makes official two smartphones in the market. While the entry-level Era 4X smartphone will go exclusive to Amazon India, the Era 5X will go official later.
XOLO Era 4X starts just at INR 4,444 (~€55) for the 1GB model and INR 5,555 (~€70) for the 2GB model.
The primary smartphone to focus on is the Era 5X. The handset features a 5.7-inch 720x1440px IPS LCD panel with no notch. The biometrics on the Era 5X includes a fingerprint reader that scans the device in 0.2s. There also exists the face unlock that takes about 0.6s to unlock the handset.
Under the hood, the Xolo Era 5X runs a MediaTek Helio A22 soc with a quad-core 2.0GHz processor and 3GB of RAM. The storage on the handset is 32GB, but it has support for the microSD card slot. A large 3,000 mAh of battery keeps the handset alive throughout the day. The OS is Star OS 5.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.
The optics on the XOLO Era 5X includes a13MP selfie camera with an LED flash. On the rear, there’s another 13MP camera with an LED flash. The price and availability of the Era 5X will be known later this month.
