Xiaomi’s Android Go smartphone is in rumors since last year. Today, the company has made the handset official as their first Android Go smartphone. The all-new Redmi Go runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) with decent specifications. The smartphone will head to Europe and the Philippines in February.

The Redmi Go packs decent specifications and makes an appearance in Black Blue color. On the front phone has got a 1280x720px LCD with conventional 16:9 aspect ratio. There is a 5MP selfie shooter as well on the front. The main camera on the phone is an 8MP shooter that goes well with the pricing.

Under the hood, the Redmi Go runs on a Snapdragon 425 SoC along with 1GB of RAM. In my opinion, all Android Go smartphones in 2019 should run at least 2GB of RAM as a standard. Anyways, you have an option to choose between 8GB or 16GB of onboard storage. Even more, the phone has support for a microSD card as a hybrid SIM solution. In case you don’t want to expand the memory, you can use two SIM cards.
Rest, the Redmi has a 3,000mAh battery which will last you an entire day. The phone will embark its sales in February, and it will start for €80 in Europe. We are still unaware of the pricing of the Phone in Phillippines.
