On the front one can notice a 5.97″ AMOLED panel with a waterdrop notch on top. The bezels on the bottom chin are comparatively thicker, and the phone has got a UD fingerprint scanner under the display.

Now, the cameras on the phone carry a similar triple camera setup as its mighty sibling. With that said, the 48 MP camera with Sony IMX586 sensor on the back exists on the phone along with a 13 MP ultra wide-angle lens as the primary sensor. Also, there is an 8MP telephoto lens for twice the normal Zoom. Interestingly, the company keeps am identical 20 MP with plenty of Beauty filters on the front. The camera is indistinguishable from the one on the regular Mi 9.

The Mi 9 SE charges with a fast 18W charging, that’s a step down from the regular variant. A decent 3,070 mAh battery keeps the phone running, and it charges over USB-C port. The 3.5 mm audio jack is missing from the phone, and one has to rely on the USB-C port. The MIUI 10 on the Mi 9 SE supports Game Turbo booster along with the latest MIUI 10 and an NFC chip.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE comes in three colors – Blue, Violet, and Black colors. The base variant of the phone costs at CNY1,999 ($300/€262) and the upper model sets back at CNY2,299 ($340/€300).
