After opening Mi Store in India back in 2017, Xiaomi kept expanding its network little by little. The latest advancement from the company is a big one. Xiaomi announced the opening of 500 stores simultaneously, setting a Guinness World Record.
Interestingly, the company announced it in an official event on October 29, the things needed the clearance from GWR, before announcing the achievement. Xiaomi makes a tweet in its Indian Twitter handle and explains that the expansion is a part of a “New Retail” model for India. According to the company, it aims to provide “flagship store experience” to customers in rural areas.
