Vivo has a huge market in India. Well, the company has got a huge 12% share in the Indian market. All this share account to the mid-range smartphones that Vivo launches in India every year. With that said, last month we saw the Vivo V11 and now the company is about to launch the Vivo V9 pro. As the name suggests, this will be a Pro version of the already available Vivo V9 in India.
Now, this is not an entirely new smartphone from Vivo. If we can recall, Back in June, Vivo announced the V9 smartphone in Indonesia. The smartphone had 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 660 SoC instead of the initial Snapdragon 626 SoC in the regular vivo V9.
Now, this new version is moving away from Indonesia and Vivo will rebrand it with the vivo V9 Pro moniker. This is essentially not a bad move as the Snapdragon 660 is a capable SoC and V9 is already a beautiful looking smartphone in India. The smartphone will arrive on Wednesday as an Amazon Exclusive.
The Vivo V9 pro will look identical to the V9, but it will have minor camera upgrades. Besides that, the handset comes with a dual camera setup on the rear. The primary camera is a 13MP shooter with a f/2.2 aperture, and the pairing sensor is a 2MP depth sensor. The Selfie shooter on this smartphone has to offer a 12MP camera. This is way less impressive than the 16 MP + 5 MP setup on the regular V9 that had a 24 MP front-facing cam.
The V9 Pro will be available in Red and Black colors and will come with 6Gigs of RAM. We assume that the vivo V9 Pro will cost around 20,000 in India.
