Vivo starts selling the Y93s with a Helio P22 SoC instead of SD439


vivo Y93 was the first handset available in the market with the new Snapdragon 439 chipset with 12 nm FinFET process. Today, the company has made official another variant of the handset named after vivo Y93s. The smartphone looks identical to the Y93, but it has a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, instead. Also, the handset comes in at double the storage in comparison to the regular model.

The vivo Y93s comes alone with a 6.2” LCD with HD+ resolution and 19:9 ratio. The screen has minimal bezels, and also it has the teardrop notch to enhance the viewing experience on the handset.

The Y93s offers 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. The battery on the handset remains the same at 4,030mAh, and it will keep the smartphone active throughout the day.

Speaking of the optics the handset comes along with a dual camera setup on the back. Well, the primary camera on the handset is a 13 MP camera lens with f/2.2 aperture. The secondary camera lens is a 2 MP camera only with the f/2.4 main setup on the back. Also, exists an 8 MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The Face Unlock from the front camera module is the only way to unlock your Y93.

The all-new vivo Y93 costs you CNY 1,698 (€215). The price is up from the CNY 1,500 (€190) of the regular Y93. The upgrade in terms of hardware justifies the price. For now, only the Zixia Red and Aurora Red colors of the handset are available.
