Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a legit device with top-notch hardware specifications. While the hardware is top notch, but there are some flaws with the displays on the Mate 20 Pro. We’ve not seen this thing happening for the first time with big companies, as Google itself made Pixel 2XL with faulty screens. The color shifting issues on the Mate 20 pro is now getting popular on forums and social networks. but, if you’re a Huawei Mate 20 pro-honor, you might not like what Huawei has to say.
Note that Huawei is trying to say that this is not an issue on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. According to Huawei, this is a property of the flexible OLED’s that is visible under specific conditions. However, such issues are negligible on Samsung smartphones with similar displays. Well, if you’re unhappy with your unit, then Huawei will be happy to assist you with free replacements and repairs.
For now, this issue appears when the background color is dark grey or white. Most of the time the color shift is visible in the dark environments only, and most of the times it is along the edges. Noticeably, the problem is prevalent on the LG made OLED panels only, the ones featuring BOE’s displays don’t have similar issues.
Reports claim that the color shift arises due to the glue that the company is using underneath the display of the handset. Hence, the #gluegate hashtag is the new gate on a smartphone.
