The single core scores on the chipset are in line with the Snapdragon 845’s Kryo 385 Gold cores (at 2.8GHz). On the flip side, the multicore scores on this chipset seem to get closer to the Snapdragon 710. We expect the chipset with a 2+6 split between big and little cores. The real scores may differ, as the scores come as a part of the reference board.
Also, the MediaTek reveals Helio M70 5G modem at the China Mobile Global Partner Conference in Guangzhou. The key factor is that the modem is compatible backward with 4G, 3G, and even 2G. The modem supports 5G NR and promises up to 5Gbps bandwidth. This means that the M70 signifies the design significantly.
