Samsung’s plans for the 2018 line-up of their flagships are now detailed by Bloomberg on their website. Well, the reports reveal that Samsung is working on three different models for its upcoming flagship. Well, we’re talking about the Galaxy S10, and it will be the first 5G ready offering from Samsung. Also, Samsung is now planning to launch its foldable smartphone in early 2019.
Galaxy S10 Trio
With that said, there will now be three new Galaxy phones. Well, the first one in the line is a 5.8-inch Galaxy S10 with a dual-curved AMOLED screen. Also, the handset will feature a triple camera setup with a regular, ultra-wide, and telephoto camera lens. Note that this will be the smallest model of the three and it will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and an under the display selfie camera. The only difference between the Galaxy S10 and the Galaxy S10 will come to a larger display and a larger battery on the plus model.
In comparison, there will be a cheap offering from Samsung with a flat AMOLED display. Well, this model of the Galaxy S10 will not house an in-display fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint reader will likely get positioned to the right side of the Aluminum frame. The report doesn’t mention cameras but we expect this cheaper Galaxy S10 to have a single camera on the back.
Samsung Foldable Smartphones
Now, talking about the Foldable smartphones from Samsung, the reports suggest that the company is looking forward to acquiring a niche market with the potential to grow. Note that Huawei is also working on a foldable smartphone and it will soon be available in the markets. The Galaxy Foldable smartphone was supposed to see a launch in November, but it seems unlikely at this point.
Also, the decision of pulling the headphone jack from the next generation of Samsung flagship might change in future.
