The next generation Galaxy Watch is firing up the rumor mills since last month. We already know that the watch will make its first appearance along with Galaxy S10 lineup. Today, we get another suggestion about the naming of the phone. The rumor says that the watch will be known as Galaxy Watch Active. With that said, the Galaxy Watch Sports is not the correct naming of the gizmo.
Anyways, the Galaxy Watch Active will carry the model number SM-R500. It has the codename Pulse, and it will run Tizen 184.108.40.206 on an Exynos 9110 chipset. The watch doesn’t have rotating bezels but has an identical diameter and resolution as the Galaxy Watch from 2018 – 1.3-inch, 360x360px.
The Galaxy Watch Active seems to be a significant upgrade, except for its battery. Well, the 42mm watch will get 230mAh battery. With that said, it is smaller than the 300mAh offering on the Galaxy Watch 2018.
The Gizmo will have LTE model with inbuilt speakers, and Electrogram, as well. Also, the features like Heat rate, NFC, and GPS will prevail on the device.
