Samsung Pay app source code confirms in-display fingerprint reader on Galaxy S10

Samsung Pay source code makes us sure that the Galaxy S10 will feature an under-display fingerprint reader. The rumors of this technology are arriving since the Galaxy S8. Its the Samsung Galaxy S10 that will make the technology happen on the Galaxy flagships. While there are other smartphones in the market that already has this technology, the one on Samsung will get the new Ultrasonic sensor from Qualcomm.

Today, some members of XDA-Developers extract the source code of Samsung Pay and obtains a line that reveals in-display FP scanner code. At the time when we make payments on Samsung Pay, we usually get a lot of options. These options include Iris scanner, PIN or password to make secure payments. Samsung already has the fingerprint option, but this time the pay will get secured by the in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader. This year Samsung will probably remove the option of IR scanner to compensate for bezel-less AMOLED panels.

Samsung will introduce three new flagship smartphones at the Samsung Unpacked 209 event, on February 20. Only two of the three smartphones will get the Ultrasonic fingerprint readers. The Galaxy S10 Lite will feature a regular fingerprint reader on the aluminum frame of the device.
