Samsung’s foldable phone is officially known as the Galaxy Fold

Samsung’s Unpacked 2019, is going to be the most exciting event of this year. Samsung will unveil its Galaxy S10 bunch of smartphones along with Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Ear Buds. That’s not all as the company is now teasing the Galaxy Fold for tomorrow’s event.

Samsung showcased the Galaxy Fold in a 2018 event for displays. At that time we were not aware of the official name of the phone. Now, with the courtesy of Evan Blass, we know that the phone will be officially known to be the Galaxy Fold.

The phone will feature a 7.3 display inside with 2152 x 1536 pixels and an aspect ratio of 4.2:3. The display folds in half to provide a 4.58” screen on the outside. Well, this smaller panel will carry an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a resolution of 1960 x 840 pixels. The phone will run on Snapdragon 855 SoC, and it will have two batteries powering up the phone. We expect each battery to rate 2,190 mAh, and the phone will have 8GB RAM.

Rest, the Galaxy Fold will run on OneUI on top of Android Pie. Anyways, get ready for tomorrow’s event as we have a lot more to cover.
