Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) With Triple Rear Cameras to Launch in India Tomorrow


Last week, Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) was made official in Korea. This is the first Samsung smartphone that has a triple camera setup at back. The smartphone will be a Flipkart exclusive and will be available in India, by tomorrow. The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is an upgrade to the last years Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) and is available in Red, Blue, Black and Gold colors. The Samsung Event will go live tomorrow at 12 PM, in New Delhi. Besides, Flipkart is teasing some basic features of this handset on their official website.

For now, we know nothing about the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018). However, the Smartphone is available for EUR 350 (roughly Rs. 30,000) in global markets.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is a dual sim smartphone. It powers a large 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity Display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset has no notch and the Display comes with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. Under the hood, we’ve got an unnamed octa-core SoC clocked at 2.2GHz.

The CPU is coupled with 4GB/ 6GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB of inbuilt storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card slot(up to 512GB). Besides all that, we have a 3300mAH battery to power all these things up. For the biometrics, we’ve got a regular side-mounted fingerprint sensor and as well a facial unlock feature.


The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) comes along Android 8.0 out of the box with Samsung Experience on top of it. The Android P support will soon hit the smartphone after global launch.


The Galaxy A7 (2018) comes with a triple camera setup on the rear. The primary camera is a 24-megapixel autofocus sensor with f/1.7 aperture, and the pairing sensor is an 8-megapixel ultra wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The last one is a 5-megapixel depth sensor with a fixed focus and a f/2.2 aperture. The Selfie shooter on this smartphone has to offer 24-megapixel selfie fixed focus camera sensor that has f/2.0 aperture, LED flash, Selfie Focus, and Pro Lighting Mode.

For connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi ac, a 3.5mm headphone jack, ANT+, and GPS/ A- GPS integration to it. The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) supports a USB Type-C port and has generation 2 capabilities to it. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.
Dimensions of the handset are 159.8×76.8×7.5mm, and weight is 168 grams.
