According to post in XDA Developers, the adoptable feature will now make its way on Android Pie update on the Galaxy S9 duo. The feature is in existence since Android Marshmallow. Ever since the feature is available on Samsung mid-rangers with low built-in storage. Well, the microSD card on these handsets acts as an additional space not just for your media but your apps as well. The feature was not available on Samsung’s flagship handsets, but that will change with Android Pie update.

Interestingly, we’ve got to see this feature in the leaked Galaxy Note9 firmware, but it doesn’t work properly for now. If Samsung chooses to update its old flagships with Android Pie, these devices may get a benefit from this feature.
