An alleged Xiaomi Redmi 7 with a teardrop notch gets a TENAA certification in China. The company released the Redmi 6 series in China past in June, and the company is already prepping up for the launch of the Redmi 7.
Today, the Redmi 7 series arrives both on TENAA and 3C and suggests that the launch of the two handsets may be around the corner. We expect the Redmi 7 series to bear codenames – M1901F7T, M1901F7E, and M1901F7C. Interestingly, the first one of the entire list gets the TENAA certification.
Looking at the specifications on the list, the Redmi 7 measures 147.76 x 71.89 x 7.8mm. With that said, the handset appears slightly thinner than the Redmi 6. We expect the handset to house the modern notch display design like its competitors have.
The Redmi 7 Will feature a 5.84″ teardrop display, and it is quite an upgrade from the 5.45″ display on the Redmi 6. We believe that the handset will have the same footprint, but the improved screen-to-body ratio will play a significant role in the upgrade. However, Xiaomi is not likely to increase the resolution from HD+ to FullHD+.
The Redmi 7 will feature a 2,900mAh battery in comparison to the 3,00 mAh of battery on the Redmi 6 series of the smartphone. The Redmi 7 codename begins with “M19,” hence we expect the handset to launch in Q1 of the year 2019. Well, you need no worry as we are just a fortnight away ahead of 2019. For justification, the Redmi 6 has a codename that beings with “M18,” and the handset is the 2018 entry-level series from the company.
The handset must get official in Q2 of 2019, but looking at early TEENA leaks, we can expect an early Q1 release.
