Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 is the latest iteration of companies 700-series SoC’s. The company announced the chipset today, and it has got the latest 10nm process. With that said, the latest from Qualcomm is the successor to Snapdragon 710 SoC. The chip has got better performance with faster cores for gaming and more.
The CPU on the Snapdragon 712 is a slight improvement. It has got eight custom Kyro 360 cores that peaks at 2.3 GHz. Well, the predecessor had a clock speed of 2.2GHz in comparison. Also, the new SoC has got the support for Quick Charge 4+ instead of Quick Charge 4. In assistance to all this, there exists support for better Bluetooth audio with the help of TrueWireless Stereo Plus and Broadcast Audio technologies.
The GPU on the latest from Qualcomm remains the same Adreno 616 GPU along with the Hexagon 685 DSP. The modem on the chip remains the same as well. With that said the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X15 that supports LTE Cat.15 downlink and Cat.13 uplink, reaching peak speeds of 800 Mbps and 150 Mbps, respectively. Well, there exists no 5G connectivity. The SoC can support a dual 20MP camera setup or a single 32MP shooter with Spectra 250 ISP, as well.
