These are our favorite picks and justifies the price and performance ratio in their particular segment.
The Best Entry Level smartphone of 2018:-

The one that has unquestionably won our heart is the Realme U1. The smartphone gets you plugged in with all the specifications that you may expect from the smartphone at twice the price range. The most compelling Flagship smartphone of the year:-
Among the various flagship smartphones of this year, the one that has been the best seller and our choice of a flagship is the OnePlus 6T. The smartphone has everything that big players in the market have to offer but at almost half the cost. The handset has an electric fast Screen Unlocking system, true to life hardware and software integration, and some great cameras. The super fast charging on the handset is still prominent, and the handset is a true flagship without any gimmicks.
The Best runner-up’s flagships for the year 2018:-
The list for the best flagship smartphone’s won’t end-up without Samsung Galaxy Note9. Though the handset doesn’t pack the iPhone XS power, the handset does a lot of things better. The notch-less design is a win-win love, the S-pen is intuitive, and the SD845 is still great for handling almost anything. Something that certainly adds up to this smartphone is a massive 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging support to it. The handset will soon get a stable Android 9 Pie update with One UI, but here’s the link for the complete spec’s list of this handset.
Best Battery Backup Smartphone of the year 2018:-
The particular aspect of owning a new phone with excellent battery-backup is usually tedious for you. But, don’t worry, because we’ve already done some digging of our own. After testing out umpteen smartphones from major brands, we are concluding the Samsung Galaxy Note9 as our favorite battery backup pick in 2018. The smartphone endures for 97 hours of power backup rating, making it one of the champions in the market. But, there is a second runner-up that makes an equal sense. The 4,200 mAh battery in Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro is slightly more than the Note9. Anyway’s the handset has a high endurance rating of 95 hours. While the number is below Note9’s endurance, it is a gentle competition to the Samsung flagship. You can check out the full specification of the Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro from below:

The Phone’s with Marvelous Camera abilities in the year 2018:-
The year 2018 was a marvel for the cameras in flagship smartphones. Though the list is massive, our personal favorites of 2018 were the Google Pixel 3 and iPhone XS. Both of these smartphones offer an excellent dynamic range while capturing photographs and recording video. The prominent software processing with some exceptional optics makes these smartphones outstanding. Also, the single camera on the Google Pixel 3 is worth praising, and the night mode on this camera is simply unbeatable. The smartphone captures the right amount of long-exposures in no-light situations to bring up the colors on photographs that seem to be true to life.

The new out-and-out category of smartphones of the year 2018:-
The best part of the year 2018 were the mid-range smartphones getting the flagship cut hardware. We call this new section as the out-and-out category. There are two smartphones that check all the boxes in this category- Honor Play & Pocophone F1. While Honor made the handset available with the best SoC they had at the time, the Pocophone F1 is slightly more powerful. In order to compensate, the Honor Play does the design department certainly well. These smartphones are the best examples of the bridging gaps between the true flagship and the mid-range smarpthones hardware. You can look at the complete spec sheets for these smartphones in the links below.
