Oppo Find X was the 2018 flagship from the company, and it had some insane technologies behind the bar. The company is already working on its successor, and it will be known as the Oppo Find Z. Today, the company has trademarked the name with the European Union’s Intellectual Property Office, and the phone might soon go official, as well.
Of late, we are also getting our first preview at the phone on Geekbench. The scores read a Snapdragon 855 SoC, and we can expect a Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem in the phone. Well, this might also be the first 5G phone from the company.
Our wide expectations are that the Oppo Find Z will bring a 10x camera to the phone. We have seen the patents and announcements about the setup a few days past. The 10x camera will combine a 5x periscope-style camera along with an ultra-wide angle secondary camera. With that said, the camera will be capable of attaining the 10 times optical zoom.
Additionally, the phone may also come with an in-display fingerprint reader. The new technology will be able to register two fingers. Also, the surface area of fingerprint recognization may increase up to the entire screen.
Speaking of the optics on the Find Z, we expect a triple camera setup on the back. There will also exist a 3D ToF unit dedicated to AR. The Oppo Find Z will make use 50W Super VOOC technology that will charge the phone at blazing fast speeds.
The Oppo Find Z looks an interesting piece of technology to us. The phone is unlikely to make an appearance at MWC 2019, but we may see the phone in a separate event, later. What do you think about the Oppo Find Z? Do let us know in the comments section below.
