Upcoming OnePlus with UFS 3.0 is now heating up in the rumors. The UFS 3.0 standards were introduced a year past, but we’re yet to see phones use it. Today, we’ve got rumors from a famous leakster, @IceUniverse in his Twitter handle. The photographs show the sequential read and write rates of the storage on the next OnePlus phone. With that said, this years OnePlus will switch from the current UFS 2.1 to UFS 3.0 storage.
The new standards are unquestionably impressive and promise to be twice as fast while using less power to boot. The screenshots show us an improvement that is higher than 2x, in the comparison of the UFS 2.1 storage. The sequential speeds and random write, in particular, show massive gains.
The screenshot doesn’t reveal the base capacity of the storage, but we can expect the base storage to be around 128GB. We don’t expect the company to get back to 64GB as a base variant. Anyways, we are still away from the official announcement of the OnePlus 7.
