OnePlus is gearing up for launching the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro in simultaneous press events which will take place in India (Bengaluru), UK (London), and the US (New York), today. The phones will be an Amazon-exclusive in India. Both of these latest iterations of OnePlus flagships will. Meanwhile, are supposed to become the hottest selling smartphone of this year. “Here’s Our 7,” says the company in its official teaser video. By no surprise, however, we already know quite a bit about the phone. With the latest leaks and rumors, the information that we were playing around with in the past, have become more pronounced. Anyways, if you all guys are pumped up for the OnePlus 7, here are a few things we expect to be a part of the OnePlus 7/7 Pro, in Today’s event:
The first and foremost thing that we are excited about, and probably even you are; is the design on the upcoming Oneplus flagship phones. OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will feature curved AMOLED display design on the front that will be reminiscent of the Galaxy S8, S9, and S10 flagships. The regular variant will measure 157.7 x 74.8 x 8.1 mm, while the Pro model will measure 162.6 x 76 x 8.8 mm in dimensions. In my opinion, the curved AMOLED Panel on the phone will make the OnePlus 7 Pro as the most premium flagship phone that the company has ever developed.
As confirmed by the co-founder of OnePlus, we expect the regular OnePlus 7 to hold a beautiful 6.4-inch FHD+ (1080×2340 pixels) panel with a tiny teardrop notch and minimal chin at the bottom. In contrast, the OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to carry a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED panel with QHD+ (1440×3120 pixels) resolution and the 90Hz refresh rate. According to Displaymate, the panels on both the phones are A+ grade – Putting them on par with the iPhone XS and Galaxy S10 Plus. Also, we are expecting the HDR10+ feature to arrive on both the models, like the S10e and S10.
One place where the OnePlus phones have always lacked in is the Camera department. Mind it, the latest OnePlus 7 flagships, especially, the pro model will be a game changer. The OnePlus 7 Pro is the company/s first phone to bear a triple camera setup. Teaser camera samples show ultra-wide, regular and tele cameras. Whatsmore, like the Oppo phones, the new one from OnePlus will use tele camera to offer 3x optical zoom.
The OnePlus 7 Pro should be a real camera winner as the company is promoting it in the hands of professional photographers including a partnership with National Geographic and Three UK. Also, we expect one of the cameras on the phone to be a main 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with F/1.6 aperture, OIS, 7-lens. Plus, there will be a 16MP wide-angle camera with F/2.2 aperture, 117° FOV. The third camera on the phone might be an 8MP telephoto camera with F/2.4 aperture, 78mm 3x optical zoom equivalent. The selfie camera, on the other hand, will be a 16MP pop-up selfie camera, on the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Battery and Charging
This time around OnePlus will bring its all-new Wrap charge to its latest OnePlus phones. A 30W Warp Charge via USB-C will be more than enough to kill most of the flagship phones out there, in their charging speeds. We guess a massive 4,150 mAh battery in the smaller OnePlus 7, while the larger sibling might bear a little smaller 4,000 mAh battery.
Not only this, but we also expect the OnePlus 7 Pro to come with stereo speakers (finally!). OnePlus is continually choosing to avoid this feature on its flagship phones, but it is the right time to realize that the stereo speakers on phones are must-have in this day and age.
The Vibration Motor and IP Rating
Officially, the Pro will feature a stronger vibration motor. However, we might not get either of the IP67 or IP68 ratings on the phone officially. Of course, both the phones will be resilient to water up to a great extent, just like the previous OnePlus phones have been without any official rating.
Other than that, we expect a 5G model of the OnePlus 7 Pro, and it will use the Snapdragon X50 modem. It the UK, it will be exclusive to EE, with no clarity of availability in the US.
The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will feature the latest Qualcomm SD 855 SoC. And, we should see the UFS 3.0 storage on the phone, as well. The company is teasing the phone to be smooth, and the new fast storage optimization might be the reason behind. There will be no surprise if the company will announce the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro to be the fastest phones on the earth.
We expect the OnePlus 7 Pro to start with a 6/128GB model at a price tag of €700 (₹50,000). The variant with 8/256GB configuration and 12/256GB configuration will cost at €750 (₹53,000) and €820 (₹59,000), respectively.
Anyways the company will kickstart its event, today, at 8:15 pm IST in Bengaluru, 11 am EDT in the US and 4 pm BST in the UK. The OnePlus 7 In India, the launch will be held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, whereas its UK launch is at the Printworks London and US launch at the Pier 94 New York.
