OnePlus has fabulous relationships with other companies in the market. The company usually manifest its relations with limited edition smartphones in the market. We’ve seen the OnePlus 3T Colette edition and OnePlus 5 JCC+ edition in past. Also, the OnePlus 5T Star wars edition and OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity edition were available for while in the market. All these special editions were a part of a partnership of OnePlus with other companies.
Today OnePlus announces the special edition of OnePlus 6T in partnership with McLaren. The company calls it OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, brings to the handset the Warp Charge 30.
The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is not just a fancy variant of the OnePlus 6T but it packs a lot more than that. The handset packs 10GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, and it also comes with OnePlus’ new 30W Warp charger in the retail box.
OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition looks visually appealing. The handset has a glossy back rear panel with a carbon fiber pattern underneath that shows up under direct light. And Oh Boy! The handset looks gorgeous, and sometimes it reminds us of the Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition.
Additionally, you can observe the McLaren signature Papaya Orange accent color shining through the side and the bottom edges of the smartphone. The McLaren logo at the rear breaks light into different color patterns.
OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition Specifications…
Interestingly, the Wrap Charge packs inside 30 watts of power. The charger along with the beefy orange braided color cable charges the smartphone up to 50% in 20 minutes. We are still not clear if the new charger is capable of topping up the regular OnePlus 6T as fast or not.
The rest of the specification remains the same as the regular OnePlus 6T. The handset packs a 6.41-inch 1080x2340px Optic AMOLED display, along with a dual 16MP f/1.7 camera on the rear and a16MP f/2.0 selfie camera. Of course, there is an in-display fingerprint scanner and a beefy SD 845 SoC.
Anyways, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will embark on December 13 in Europe and North America, priced at €699 (£649/$699). Later on, the handset will commence its first sales in India, China, and the Nordics.
