The 5G network will be the new 2019 standard. Well, a lot of companies are already testing the networks on their new handsets. Now, there is a conference dedicated to 4G and 5G network taking place in Hong Kong. The conference allows big manufacturers to announce their plans for the next big thing in the mobile world. Carl Pei, with his team, confirms that the company will be among the first to launch a 5G smartphone in 2019. We assume the first 5G handset from OnePlus may be the OnePlus 7.
According to Cristiano Amon, president of Qualcomm, the market can expect at least two 5G flagships to arrive next year. Interestingly, Pei joins the stage with Qualcomm sayings that the OnePlus offering will appear in H1 2019. The smartphone will arrive with Snapdragon X50 modem along with the QTM052 mmWave antenna module.
Other, manufacturers that committed to Qualcomm’s path of 5G connectivity includes Asus, HMD Global, LG, Motorola, Oppo, Sony, vivo, and Xiaomi.
Big companies like Samsung, Huawei, and Apple didn’t make to the event. The main reason behind is that these companies have their own manufacturing units. So, these big companies will soon make its own way towards the 5G networks.
