Rumors in the past suggested, there will be no Moto G7 Play announcement next year. However, the new leaks from the agency’s documents today have a different story to narrate. The documentary seems to be quite unusual and contains a lot of information. Generally, these documentaries don’t reveal much about the devices that are certified.
We believe that there might have been some mistake, either from FCC or from Motorola. Well, regardless of who’s to blame, now we can enjoy the Motorola G7 Play, when available.
According to the latest reports, the handset will arrive with the model number XT1952. The Motorola G7 Play will be available in black or silverish blue color, and it will come along 2,820 mAh battery only. For optics, the smartphone will include a single rear camera, and a single selfie camera inside the screen notch. Also, there will be a fingerprint reader on the back, a USB-C port, headphone jack, and microSD card slot.
Sadly, the Moto G7 Play powers the old Snapdragon 632 chipset. We were expecting an SD636 at least, but the handset will not be a powerhouse, I guess. For connectivity of the handset in the US, the Moto G7 Play will have compatibility with major GSM-based carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, their various prepaid brands, and the companies that operate as MVNOs using their networks.
