LG will bring the G8 and V50 ThinQ to the MWC 2019 - Here's the Catch!

LG is finally making its decision to bring its 5G phone offering with the V50, and it will happen later this year. Leaks from a Korean publication ETNews shares some secret information on LG’s strategy for 2019 flagships. Reports claim that the LG V50 ThinQ and G8 ThinQ will get an official to unveil at the MWC 2019, in February. The company will bring the LG V50 with 5G connectivity in March to compete with the S10+.

Anyways, the specs on the LG V50 are decent and offers a 6″ screen on its front. The display on the phone will feature all-new hands-free interface. With the new interface, one can control apps and media by waving hands above the screen. Under the hood, the phone will get a Snapdragon 855 SoC with at least 6GB of RAM on the base model. Also, the handset will boast a 4,000mAh battery.

We expect the phone to arrive on major carriers in Europe and Korea. We know that Sprint is a confirmed partner of LG’s 5G phone. In Korea, the phone will sell at a price of KRW 1.3-1.5 million ($1,160-$1,340).

It is worth noticing that it will be the first time that LG will launch the G and V series of flagship smartphones together. The LG G8 ThinQ will be a no surprise, and the phone will look identical to the G7. The LG V50 ThinQ is yet to be seen, however.
