LG G8 ThinQ is the 2019 offering of flagship phones from LG. The phone will arrive at MWC 2019, and it will have some minor improvements from its predecessors. While the design may remain the same, the hardware may get some improvements. Anyways, today we’ve got some suggestion on the high retail price of the phone. But, what does the phone offer to justify this pricing on the phone?
A Reddit user confirms that the phone with 128GB of internal storage will cost CAD1,199. We expect the LG G8 ThinQ 128 GB to come at $899 in the US. We know that the pricing is a bit higher in the Canadian market, so the $899 price will justify in the US.
For the price, one will get the Snapdragon 855 chipset along with a significantly massive battery. Our sources reveal that the phone will get the highest rated battery that the company has made in the past five years. Additionally, the phone will get gesture experience, and the front camera will have some changes as well. The selfie camera will assist a ToF sensor on the front to help the selfie camera for face unlocking and 3D emojis.
The LG G8 ThinQ will get a 3.5mm headphone jack with a dedicated DAC. The USB-C and stereo speakers will retail as well. The phone won’t get the X50 modem by Qualcomm. The LG V50 ThinQ will be the model that will get the 5G modem support, instead. The phone will get official at MWC 2019, according to some sources.
The LG G8 ThinQ will have a dual camera setup on the rear. The positioning of the cameras along with the fingerprint readers will remain the same as the one on the LG V40 ThinQ. Even more, the Google Assistant trigger will stay on the left of the phone.
