The LG G8 CAD-based renders fires up on the internet, and we may probably see the handset at MWC next month. The renders come along with a short video showcasing the renders.
The LG G8 is not a foldable smartphone, but if LG plans to launch one at MWC, then we might see an entirely different name. Anyways, we are talking about the LG G8, and the handset looks no different from the LG G7. In fact, we didn’t expect LG to throw the same smartphone in the market. If we look at the LG V40, it has three cameras on the rear. With that said, the dual camera setup that we are looking in the renders is not an improvement.
LG G8 still has a massive notch…
It’s a shame that LG is not getting rid of the notch in 2019. Where almost every Chinese manufacturer is getting rid of notches on its flagships, LG doesn’t seem to work vigorously on its own hardware. Well, LG is a massive technology giant, and the company has all resources to produce bezel-less OLED panels for its own flagships.
LG G8 has no in-display fingerprint reader
Another disappointment on the smartphone is the fingerprint sensor on the rear. Again, even the young brand OnePlus has got right with the technology of under-display fingerprint readers. LG seems to have no direction when it comes to smartphones, anymore.
Anyways, the LG G8 will come along with 6.1-inch display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The dimensions in CAD leaks measures 152 x 72 x 8.4 mm. The smartphone seems to have dual-camera setup in the notch. There’s a USB-C port at the bottom along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. There are volume rocker buttons along with Google Assistant Key on the left. On the flip side, exists the power button and SIM tray on the right. The speaker grills exist on the bottom, as well.
The year 2019 is all about the 5G buzz, but we’ve no words of the technology to prevail on G8. The handset will bear the SD 855 chipset, and there will exist sound on display technology on board.
