Smartphones with a slide-out camera are becoming common among the Chinese brands today. Sadly, the latest piece of technology is not coming from the large companies like Samsung and Apple. It all started with Vivo Nex and Oppo Find X, and now we have it all around. That is the first time we see Chinese companies copying each other rather than copying Apple or Samsung. Now, we’ve got few more playing in the ground that will soon adopt the new design. Those include the Honor Magic 2, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, and an unnamed Lenovo handset.
Now, the latest leaks are coming from Lenovo, adopting the periscope-like camera we’ve got to see on Oppo Find X. Today, the company’s vice-president shared a video on his Weibo account, showing one such handset. The handset comes, under the brand Lenovo, with extremely thin bezels, small chin, and pop-up cameras. The smartphone won’t have fancy 3D Face Unlock feature, but it will instead rely on an in-display fingerprint reader.
