The Lenovo S5 Pro GT is another handset that got official at the company’s event today. The smartphone has considerable similarities with the vanilla Lenovo S5 Pro, but the SoC is an upgrade over here. The all-new GT version comes with an SD660 SoC instead of the old SD636 offering from the company.
The smartphone is available in three different configurations. The standard variant comes in 4/64GB configuration and sets you back at CNY 1,200 ($175/€153). There is one more variant with 6/64GB configuration that costs CNY 1,300 ($189/€165), while the mighties version with 6/128GB configuration sets you back at CNY 1,500 ($218/€190). The third variant is s not available yet. You can pre-order the handset today, and the shipping will commence starting on December 24. Also, you can expand the storage via the hybrid dual SIM slot.
The rest of the configuration on the handset is considered decent. The handset bears a massive 6.2” 19:9 screen with 1080p+ resolution. The notch trend continues with the smartphone. The Lenovo S5 Pro GT packs a whopping 20MP selfie camera (IMX476) along with an 8MP infrared camera for 3D face scanning and effects.
On the rear of the handset exists a 12MP primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture. The primary shooter couples with a 20MP 2x telephoto cam (f/2.6). Also here is the fingerprint reader.
The smartphone comes along with a 3.5mm headphone jack along with stereo speakers. Also, there exists a massive 3,500 mAh battery to keep your smartphone alive throughout the day. An 18W fast charging technique helps to top up the smartphone faster. The smartphone runs on ZUI on the top of Android 8.1 Oreo. Lenovo says nothing about the Pie update on the handset.
