Lenovo S5 Pro and Lenovo K5 Pro has been officially unveiled in China today. Both of these smartphones are seen already in leaks and rumors surfacing on TENAA. Well, both of these smartphones are mid-rangers with a clear focus on photography and entertainment. I mean we’ve got stereo speakers and fast charging to justify our entertainment needs.
Lenovo S5 Pro
The Lenovo S5 Pro is a solid performer with at a price not so high. The moderate price doesn’t mean that Lenovo has made compromises in the build quality. The smartphone is ample tough with a metal unibody that has been sand-blasted for a satin finish.
The Lenovo S5 Pro is a dual smartphone. The handset packs a whopping 6.2” IPS LCD display with 1080p resolution. The smartphone has the same 19:9 aspect ratio as other 2018 smartphones and comes with a notch design. The Lenovo S5 Pro is a decent performance for the money you pay. Well, the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 636 chipset paired to 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. Also, there is a hybrid solution for expanding the internal storage of your handset. The handset has a massive 3,500 mAh battery, and it supports 15W fast charging. The smartphone has a USB-Type C port, and you can also use it for reverse charging your other accessories.T here’s a fingerprint reader on the back if you prefer it to face scanning.
Further, the smartphone runs on Android Oreo on the top of Lenovo’s own ZUI software. The UI on this smartphone has various AI optimizations. Also, we’ve got features like split screen, and ability to create four accounts of the single application. Well, this features work just like the Dual space feature on the Samsung flagships.
Further, the optics on this smartphone are really impressive for its price. The Lenovo S5 Pro has a dual camera lens system on the back. Well, the main shooter is a 2MP sensor with 1.25µm pixels and a bright f/1.8 aperture. And, the secondary sensor on this smartphone is a 2x telephoto lens (f/2.6) with a 20MP sensor. Further, the camera is capable of shooting 4K at 30fps. Besides that, the front camera on this smart is a 20MP IMX 476 sensor. The sensor comes with 1.0µm pixels, which can be binned 4 in 1 for better low-light performance. The video recording on the front camera is capped at 1080p. Also, the handset has an infrared 3D face scanner for security and selfie enhancements.
The Lenovo S5 Pro sets you back at CNY 1,300 for the 6/64GB model. The handset will start shipping on October 23. Besides that, the price and availability for the 6/64GB model are still unknown.
Lenovo K5 Pro
The Lenovo K5 Pro is a cheaper alternative to the S5 Pro. Now, this is a dual sim smartphone and has a few similarities. Further, the Lenovo K5 Pro packs a decent 6-inches display, with 1080p resolution and no notch. Under-the-hood the smartphone packs an SD 636 chipset and comes in two memory configurations. Well, this includes the 4/64GB variant and the 65/128 Gb variant. Rest, the smartphone has a whopping 4,050 battery and supports18W QuickCharge 3.0. Also, the Lenovo K5 Pro comes along with side-firing stereo speakers. These are backed by SmartPA amps by NXP with Dirac support. The Type-C port and the 3.5mm headphone jack are still present on this smartphone.
Further, the Lenovo K5 pro comes along with a dual camera setup. The smartphone has a 16MP main camera module as the primary one. And, this is coupled with a 5MP depth sensor. The main camera has a f/2.0 aperture and uses multi-frame noise reduction for better low-light shots.
Lastly, the smartphone will set you back at CNY 1,000 for the 4/64GB model. The shipments will start on October 25. Also, there exists a 6/64GB one for CNY 1,100 and, finally, the top 6/128GB model for CNY 1,300.
Lenovo at this event made two watches official along with the smartphones. The Lenovo Watch S is a hybrid timepiece that will launch on October 30 at CNY 240. Further, the smartphone is cheap and It’s swim-proof (5 ATM). Also, the watch can track your exercise and sleep and has a dial so you can track your daily progress.
Lastly, we’ve got a watch aiming at Kids. Lenovo call’s this product as Lenovo Watch S, and it is a hybrid timepiece for sure. Rest, we’ve got a large 1.3” AMOLED display and is made durable with IPX7 water resistance. Features like SOS calls, and GPS tracking is present. The Watch will start shipping from October 22 for CNY 400 ($58/€50).
