Today, Apple iPhone 11 gets leaked in super early renders with the courtesy of @Onleaks and @digitindia. The very first look at the upcoming iPhones gives us a look at the triple camera set up on the next flagship from the company.
The renders show the partnership of @Onleaks and @digitindia on a square camera unit housing three cameras aligned non-linearly. One can assuredly spot two cameras aligned vertically along with a third camera placed between the two, on the side. Above the third camera, there lies an LED flash, and a microphone lies below the camera.
According to OnLeaks, the 2019 iPhones or the iPhone 11 are still under the Engineering Validation Test (EVT) stage. With that said, the design of the smartphone change anytime soon if it doesn’t pass the tests. Though Apple didn’t get success with three iPhones this year, the 2019 models will still follow. We can expect Apple to release the successors to the iPhone XR along with the higher end iPhone XS/XS Max. Right now, it’s difficult to say which variant will sport the three cameras. But, we can expect the mightiest model to get a comprehensive change, instead of the entry-level models.
iPhone 11 will have a 3D TOF camera?
The third camera on the setup has no linearity with the other two cameras sensors. With that said, it points at a long-distance 3D ToF technology on the 2019 iPhones. In fact, the reports regarding three cameras on 2019 iPhones are in line with the earlier report by Bloomberg. ToF or Time of Flight technology relies on how much time light takes to bounce off an object to create a 3D map. For now, Sony is working for the sensors on the Apple iPhones, and Bloomberg confirms this by having words with Sony on this news. The rest of the two cameras on the smartphone will be very similar to the ones on the present flagship iPhones in the markets.
