Huawei’s Nova 4 with an in-display selfie camera is now official. The handset seems like another marvel from Huawei, but its only downside is the last years Kirin 970 chipset.
Anyways, the Nova has two key features that set it aside from the other midrange smartphones out in the markets. One of the key selling points is the 25MP selfie camera that can take some capable photographs. Another outstanding feature on the Huawei’s Nova 4 is the triple camera setup on the rear.
Sadly, the camera arrangement on the Nova 4 will differ with the variant you pay for. The mightiest version of the Nova 4 gets a 48MP f/1.8 + 16MP f/2.2 (ultra-wide-angle snapper) + 2MP f/2.0 (depth-sensor) – triple camera setup on its back. On the flip side, the low-end variants will get a 20MP f/1.8 main camera instead of the whopping 48MP Quad Bayer.
In any case, the smartphone will come with an in-display camera on the front. Interestingly, the front of the smartphone has a smaller diameter hole than Samsung’s Galaxy A8s’ selfie snapper. Anyways, the handset features 6.4-inch 2310x1080px IPS LCD.
Rest, the Huawei Nova 4 features a massive 3,750 mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging tech inside. The smartphone has 8GB of RAM as the base along with 128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, there exists the Kirin 970 SoC. The smartphone remains up to date with Android 9.0 under EMIU 9.0.1.
Huawei’s Niva 4 with a 48MP camera will launch in China first. The handset will you back at a price of CNY 3,400 (~€435). The 20MP Standard model will come at CNY 3,100 (~€400). In either case, the handset is a decent price to value ratio.
