Huawei Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro are not only smartphones that Huawei made official. We also have the Mate 20 X and Mate 20 RS Porsche Design that got official in this event.
Huawei Mate 20 X
The Huawei Mate 20 X is a dual sim smartphone. And, the smartphone comes with a whopping 7.2-inches screen. The panel on this smartphone is a flat OLED panel with 1,080 x 2,244px resolution and a teardrop notch. Also, this smartphone carries a lot of features from the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro edition.
Now, with this smartphone, Huawei targets at the Samsung’s Galaxy Note lineup. Well, the introduction of M-Pen with up to 4,096 levels of pressure makes it sound very similar to the S-Pen on the Galaxy Note lineup. Further, the M-Pen is a separate product. And, you will need to buy it separately get the notes functionality on this smartphone.
The Huawei Mate 20 X is a gaming smartphone. And, it powers the latest and greatest Kirin 980 chipset. Also, the powerful Mali-G76 GPU is 50% faster than a G72. Huawei’s GPU Turbo 2.0 tech promises fast, smooth gameplay.
The smartphone also comes with a Supercool technology from Huawei. And, as the name suggests, this is a vapor chamber cooling with a graphene film heat spreader.
The Huawei Mate 20 X supports Dolby Atoms stereo speakers. And, has a whopping 5,000mAh battery.
The Huawei Mate 20 X uses the same camera tech as the Mate 20 Pro. The smartphone is €150 cheaper than the Pro variant. And, the primary camera on this smartphone is 40MP Quad Bayer sensor with f/1.8 wide-angle lens. Rest, there is another 20Mp sensor with f/2.2 ultra-wide lens. Also, there is an 8MP camera with an 80mm f/2.2 telephoto camera. Features like the 2.5cm / 1in macro mode and the AI features are still available with this camera arrangement.
The smartphone will go officially available starting October 25. And, it will start at 900 for its only 6/128GB version.
Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design
The Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design is a more Premium version of the Mate 20 Pro. With that said, the smartphone comes with a leather back including a vertical strip of glass holding the Leica triple camera. The whole arrangement looks a lot like a racing track on the back. Also, the leather we see on the back of this smartphone is Handcrafted. And, comes in Black and Red (the glass is always black).
The smartphone retains the Kirin 980 chipset, 40W wired SuperCharge and 15W wireless charging to fill the 4,200mAh battery.
The biometrics on this smartphone includes a 3D face scanner and an in-display fingerprint reader.
