Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a capable camera setup on its back. But, how does it compete against its competition in DxOMark scores? Well, the Mate 20 Pro outperforms its competition, but it stacks right next to another Huawei phone, the P20 Pro.
Does it mean that the Huawei Mate 20 pro didn’t gain a performance boost in the past six months of the arrival of P20 Pro? Well, at least the DxOMark score breakdown of the camera has a similar story to tell. The score breakdown is identical to the P20 pro. The difference between the two cameras arrives in the bokeh mode, but not in a conventional manner. The bokeh on Mate 20 Pro scores 60 in bokeh, and it is 10 points off from the P20 pro. Also, the smartphone gets a cut down in the video department, especially for Noise and a couple off of stabilization.
The Mate 20 pro has got an overall score of 114 in photography, and 97 scores in the video. The P20 Pro managed a score of 98 in the video in the past.
Overall the Mate 20 Pro has got Excellent target exposure and wide dynamic range along with pleasant white balance and color rendering. The autofocus on the phone is reliable in most conditions with awesome zoom capabilities. The video recording on the Mate 20 Pro is capable as well. It has a fast and smooth autofocusing system with good tracking, and the stabilization is efficient when holding the camera still. The colors are bright and punchy with low noise levels in bright light. The exposures on the camera are good as well, to the changing light conditions.
