Huawei is doing incredibly well in the smartphones market. The Kirin 980 SoC is a massive success for the Huawei flagship series of smartphones. Now, the company briefs its new Balong 5000 5G modem. And its future plans to bring the worlds first foldable smartphone with the 5G modem. The company made this announcement at the end of its hour-long pre-MWC briefing.
Not just any 5G smartphone
Unless the Samsung brings the Galaxy Flex first on the stage, the Huawei’s offering will win the title of being first to implement. Well, this is a massive fight between the companies, where both brands are trying to achieve the technologies first.
Anyways, the foldable smartphone from Huawei will use the Kirin 980 SoC along with the Balong 5000 modem. The slides from the presentation show more than one 5G smartphones that will go official in the event.
