Honor Magic 2 official images teased with slider, gradient back, and black box


Honor Magic 2 will go official on October 31. The smartphone is one of the most anticipated smartphones of this year. Well, the smartphone has some interesting features including a full view display and powerful Kirin 980 SoC.

Today, the official images of the smartphone are outed on the company’s Weibo account. The smartphone looks spectacular it’s new gradient colors that include colorways, blue and pink/purple. The smartphone rests on the top of the box. Well, the box comes in black color and has a kind of rose gold accent, to the text written on it. The smartphone looks familiar with the old Honor smartphones, with the Huawei P20 Pro like camera alignment on its back.

Honor Magic 2 Specifications

The specs say that the smartphone runs of Kirin 980 chipset with clock speeds of up to 2.6 GHz. The smartphone comes with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The screen on the Honor Magic 2 is a whopping 6.4-inches display with FHD+ resolution. Well, the display on this handset has almost 100% screen-to-body ratio, with a sliding mechanism for camera sensors. The setup on the slider has a 16MP front-facing camera with two TOF lenses for 3D face unlock. Also, we assume that the smartphone will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone has a 3,400 mAh battery and supports Huawei’s 40W fast charging. The phone will run Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9 on top.

Lastly, Honor Magic 2 follows the market trend with a triple camera setup on the back. The whole camera setup is likely to be a Leica branded, with one dual 16MP + 24 MP sensor, and a separate 16MP sensor. The vertical camera arrangement seems to borrow its look from the Huawei P20 Pro. And, its likely two have a regular sensor, a B/W cam and a telephoto lens.
