The Honor Magic 2 is now official, and this another smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer that includes a mechanical slider. The Magic 2 becomes the world’s first handset to feature six cameras (three front-facing, three on the back). Also, we’ve got the 7nm chipset and impressively fast 40W charging.

Speaking of the specifications on the Honor Magic 2, it runs of Kirin 980 chipset. Well, this goes along with 8/6GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage. The Kirin 980 features two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz, two more at 1.92 GHz, and four power-efficient Cortex-A55 at 1.8 GHz. The screen on the Honor Magic 2 will be a whopping 6.4-inches display with FHD+ resolution. Besides that, the display on this handset has almost 100% screen-to-body ratio, with a sliding mechanism for camera sensors.

Also, the smartphone comes along with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone has a 3,400 mAh battery and runs Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9 on top.

Camera & Optics

Speaking about the optics on the Magic 2 we’ve got a main 16 MP snapper, 24 MP Black & White monochrome sensor, and a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Well, the camera set up on the Magic 2 goes in a completely different category from the other two camera beasts by Huawei. The 16 MP selfie shooter on the Magic 2 is accompanied by two 2 MP depth sensors. Well, these camera sensors combine with an IR face scanner for 3D Face Unlock.

Magic 2 comes along with 40W capabilities, and Huawei calls it Magic Charge. Well, Honor claims that Magic 2 can charge 50% of the 3,400 mAh power cell in 15 minutes and reach 85% in the next quarter hour. Also, the USB Type-C port on the Magic 2 comes along with audio compatibility. The 3.5mm headphone jack makes no appearance on the Magic 2.

Rest, the handset comes along with Bluetooth 5 and dual-band GPS. Also, the new Virtual Assistant Yoyo is now available on the Magic 2. Honor Magic 2 will be available both on online and offline stores. For pricing, the base variant with 6/128 GB configuration comes at CNY3,799, and the 8/128 GB variant sets you back at CNY4,299. Also, we have got a third variant 8/256 GB that sets you back at CNY4,799. Pre-order has already started, with actual shipping and sales scheduled for November 6.
