Google will release two more mid-range Pixel smartphones this year. While these new mid-range Pixels were in rumors, some colleagues over at Android Police were able to scrape off some information from the source code of the latest ARCore v1.5 APK. According to the Android Police, two new handsets appear in the list with codenames Bonito and Sargo.
The listing includes a lot of other handsets including the OnePlus 6T on T-Mobile, Honor 8X, Honor 20X and more. Bonito and Sargo borrow its name from fishes, and so we assume them to be Google Devices. Well, all the Google devices come with a code name based on the name of some fish. Note that this is what we expect, and the real findings can turn out to be in favor of some other handset.
If we look back at the earlier rumors, we were supposed to get a Google midrange handset before the end of this year, or in early 2019. So, these rumors are in-line with the leaks, and we expect these handsets to come along with Snapdragon 710 chipset.
If the rumors turn out to be true, then the Sargo could be the smaller of the two since Sargo is a smaller fish than Bonito. Well, let us just cross our fingers and expect the best to happen.
