The Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL have the best camera software on any smartphone out there. The camera app is in a lot of ways more refined than the Apple’s and Samsung’s offering. Well, the same camera app is now available via an update on the Pixel 2 duo. The new menu replaces the tap to get Portrait mode on the Pixel 2 or 2 XL. Now, you need to swipe across the screens to switch between the camera modes.

Further, this new Google Camera app update is rolling out since Monday. Well, the new update now shows the shooting mode just above the shutter button. Note that the update on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL brings a new mode selector and a shortcut to Google lens. Top features like Night Sight or Top Shot modes on the Google Pixel 3 doesn’t make its way to the last generation Pixels. Also, the latest Google Camera app version is 6.1.013.

Lastly, we assume that the features like Night Sight and Top Shot may appear with a future update.
