German court issues sales ban on iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 Models in Germany

Qualcomm is now leading in the battle against Apple, this time in Germany. The official statement from the German court states that iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 models use Intel modems that infringes on one Qualcomm patent.

With that said, the German court has put a ban on several iPhone models in the country. We hope Apple to do something in order to cease the decision made by the German courts. However third-party retailers can still sell the violating iPhones.

Anyways, Apple iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR don’t infringe on Qualcomm’s patent. All these iPhones will remain on shelves. Note that Qualcomm has already been successful in banning iPhone X, 8 and older models in China. Qualcomm is now trying to halt the sales of iPhone XS and XR sales in China.
