Yes, you read it right! This is the very first foldable phone – the FlexPai. But not making it more confusing, this is actually a tablet. It is easy to carry and manageable tablet to use.
The screen gets folded down at the middle. When you fold the screen then it automatically gets divided into two halves. The display of wallpaper can be seen at one half, and any other piece of software can be used on the other half of the screen. As mentioned above, the screen gets divided but the division isn’t equal for the users. While one half of the tablet has slightly more screen, the other half offers a great help in capturing and receiving video calls. Well, for this purpose we’ve got a dual 16+20MP camera setup, by the way, the second camera module has a telephoto lens.
Back to the screen, it’s an AMOLED that folds down the middle. The software (dubbed Water OS) switches to using only half of the screen, displaying a wallpaper on the other half.
Well, there is a lot more going around this massive 7.8” screen (4:3 aspect ratio) tablet. The best part of the tablet is the world’s first 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 chipset that powers this tablet.
Storage on this device includes a 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. But this isn’t where the storage limits itself. We can also purchase it with other two options including 8GB of RAM with 256GB and 512GB internal storage.
Charging the phone is something really amazing. A fast charging tech is supported within this tablet. It can go from 0% to 80% in an hour, well that sounds great !! That’s a great charging speed (a Ro-Charge).
The FlexPai is 7.6mm thick. Anyhow, the tablet doesn’t get folded flat because the hinge rates to fold 200,000 times as it is thicker than 15.2mm when gets folded
Prices aren’t that high as per expected because it starts at CNY 9,000 and reaches $1,300. Well, this doesn’t cost as high as the android cost at this price without having a foldable design or a next-gen chipset.
