Now, this way you need not wait for a buyer to make a purchase. eBay will buy the handset from you and further sell the smartphone on its own terms. The throwback is that you’ll get the money in the form of an eBay voucher. Well, that means you can use the money to buy products that are exclusive to eBay. Now, this may be a good or a bad tradeoff to an individual.
Interestingly, this new feature arrives at the time Apple’s latest smartphone release. So, a lot of people may be looking forward to trade-off their handset and buy the new iPhone XR from Apple. Also, eBay promises that it will provide a better deal than trading up your smartphone with your carrier.
A survey from eBay says that 61% of Americans have never sold or traded in a smartphone they don’t use anymore. Also, 40% of Americans have two or more smartphones they don’t use at their home. So, selling these smartphones on eBay can possibly benefit the hundreds of dollars to the seller.
At Present, these are the only devices eligible for Instant Selling: Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 edge, S7 Active, S8, S8+, S8 Active, S9, S9+ Apple iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, and iPhone X all either Unlocked, Verizon, T-Mobile, or AT&T. Devices on Sprint, Google Pixels, and LG phones will become eligible for Instant Selling in November.
