OnePlus 6T is a decent smartphone with excellent performance and elegant design language. The smartphone bears one of the best cameras in the market, if not the best. OnePlus 6T bears Optics that are identical to its predecessor. Interestingly, DxOMark lab has a different story to tell. The company ranks OnePlus 6T with 98 overall scores. With that said, the handset ranks 2 points higher than the OnePlus 6. That’s considerably a good thing as the handset tie’s up with the Google Pixel 2 for the 10th spot.
Breaking down the scores for you, OnePlus 6T scores 101 points in imaging and 91 points in video capabilities. DxOMark lab makes sure that the handset has a fabulous dynamic range and the autofocus on the camera is swift and reliable. The slight improvement in the camera comes from the even better dynamic range than the smartphone has to offer. The details captured by the camera were slightly more than the OnePlus 6.
The reason for low scores than the competitors is the slightly higher noise levels and the presence of some halos due to a strong HDR effect. Also, the smartphone is not best at taking photos with 2X zoom. Well, this is because of the lack of a physical telephoto lens on the camera.
Surprisingly, the videos on the smartphone seem to be reliable and have swift autofocus. Also, the dynamic range and colors are on par along with an effective stabilization.
