Asus is working on the successor of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. Asus will announce the Zenfone Max Pro M2 on December 1, but someone seems to get mixed up with the launch dates. Let me make the scene clear for you. Today, a YouTuber released a detailed video covering the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 on his YouTube channel. After some time, the video was taken down, but we’ve got the key details of the handset.
The fundamental feature about the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 is the massive 5,000mAh battery. Well, that means that the handset carries no change in battery size, but the processor is an update on this handset. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC now replaces the old SD636 chipset and offers up to 6GB of RAM. The handset will carry 64GB of RAM on the base variant.
Like all other smartphones in the market, the Zenfone Max Pro M2 will carry a notched screen measuring at 6” diagonally. The 1080p FHD+ panel on the handset will be covered by Gorilla Glass 6, and this is a significant step up from the last iteration. Speaking of glass, the back has switched away from longer metal to glass.
The dual camera setup on the handset seems to be the same 13+5MP camera, but there may be AI improvements to make the experience better.
The selfie camera features a new 13MP sensor.
