We already know that AT&T is testing its fake 5GE network on LTE phones. Well, its an improved version of LTE, and doesn’t provide 5G speeds. With that said, the 5G networks on AT&T will be called as 5G+, instead. Today, we’ve got to see fake 5G network signals on iPhones in the US, and here’s how.
To drive market sales, AT&T is replacing 4G icons on certain Android and Apple phones with 5GE. The latest iOS 12.2 beta is a part of the program itself. Users in the US are now reporting the 5GE icons on the latest iOS beta. That means if you are on Apple’s beta track for iOS releases, installing freshest beta will show 5GE figures on the AT&T network.
The funny part of 5G on iPhones is that Apple doesn’t intend to release 5G on iPhones until 2020. Apple is working on its 5G modems for iPhones, and it will not happen soon in the future. With that said, the iPhone users can fool Android members telling that they have 5G too on their iPhones. Well, that is a straight forward strategy, but we don’t like companies fooling their customers.
