Samsung has been making AMOLED displays with a notch for manufacturers like Oppo, Vivo, and Oneplus. The company is now bringing this technology to the midrange Galaxy smartphones with the new Infinity-V and Infinity-U displays. Leaks suggest that we may soon see the Samsung Galaxy A8s in the market with an infinity-U display.
Our sources claim that the panels on the Galaxy A8s come with a few minor design improvements. Looking at the images, we expect the handset to arrive with a minimal notch, and it seems to be smaller than the ones we’ve got to see on the Oppo and Vivo smartphones. It can be that Samsung will implement a smaller camera module unlike the larger 25MP one’s that comes with the Oppo smartphones.
Early rumors suggest that the handset will come along with a Snapdragon 660 chipset. Also, there is a possibility to see an SD670 or SD675 SoC inside. Rest, there will be 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. We expect the smartphone to arrive with a triple camera setup similar to A7 (2018).
Note that the handset may first arrive in the Chinese market, and then move on to other markets. All these things are leaks for now, and only time will tell about the real deal on this handset.
