WhatsApp for iOS is adding a new security feature to Apple iPhones. The latest update on iOS now supports the Face ID or Touch ID feature to lock/unlock your WhatsApp application.
To enable the feature one needs to navigate through the settings of the application. After that simply go to Account > Privacy and enable Screen Lock. If you have the latest iPhones that lack Touch ID, you can use Face ID for biometrics.
Once you enable the feature, the application will save behind the biometrics authentication system of your phone. Only the people who are authorized to unlock the phone will get into Whatsapp. While we still have no option to lock the chats, but it’s still reliable to have an alternative to securing the app itself.
Anyways, the update is now rolling out on the App Store. You can update the application, and share your experience with us in the comments section below.
