The vivo V15 Pro is now official, and the phone follows the footsteps of vivo NEX. The pop-up selfie camera and in-display fingerprint reader makes the phone stand out by providing an Ultra FullView Super AMOLED display.
vivo V15 Pro Specifications
The center of attraction on the vivo V15 Pro is its camera setup. The rest of the specifications are decent for its price tag. The vivo V15 Pro will feature a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED 1080x2316px screen on its front. It has a top bezel of just 2.22mm and the side bezels are even thinner at 1.75mm. Officially the AMOLED panel on the panel has got a screen-to-body ratio of 91.64%.
Under the hood, there exists a Snapdragon 675 with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. To keep the phone alive throughout the day, there will rest a massive 3,700mAh battery. Even more, the Dual Engine fast charging will recharge the phone from 0% to 24% in just 15 minutes. The only fall back is the micro USB port, but the phone retains the conventional 3.5mm headphone jack.
Interestingly, the vivo V15 Pro uses a 5th gen fingerprint reader under the display. That’s an achievement for an entry-level phone, and we expect the other manufacturers to bring the same. The AMOLED on the phone covers the entire DCI-P3 color gamut and has an Always-On mode.
Even more, the phone runs on Android Pie on top of Funtouch OS. The phone has its own Game Mode 5.0, which promises smooth gaming with reduced drops in frames.
vivo V15 Pro Optics
The optics of the phone includes a pop-up camera on the front that packs the world’s first 32MP selfie camera. The vivo V15 Pro packs a 48 MP main primary shooter with 0.8µm pixels (1.6µm if you use 4-to-1 binning). The f/1.8 aperture on the camera promises better low-light photography. And, the Super Night Mode stacks several photos with different exposure to enhance the clarity of dark images.
The secondary camera on the phone is an ultra-wide angle camera sensor. With that said, it can capture up to 120° field of view (though that drops to 108° if you enable distortion correction). The third camera will be a 5MP shooter with an f/2.4 aperture for depth scanning.
