Digitimes research claims that the smartphone chipsets shipments will continue to decline this year around. Well, this decline is for about 4.6% after the 13.9% gain in Q3 2018. With that said, vendors are now cutting their orders from the supplier.
While the small brands like Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo and vivo are looking to expand their overseas shipments, they have a high success rate in Eastern Europe and India. Also, Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin Technologies is enjoying the benefits from it.
Even with the growing AI accelerators in the smartphones, these shipments are shrinking down than romal. The similar trends are shrinking down the sales of new SoCs from Qualcomm and MediaTek’s Helio P70 around the corner.
