The Redmi Note 7 Pro will arrive as soon as next week, and it will be one of the first budget phones with fingerprint scanner under the display. Like the Redmi Note 7, the Pro variant will bear a 48MP camera sensor. The Redmi Note 7 comes with a Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor. Well, this time there will be a Sony IMX 586 sensor, instead.
Another upgrade that we may see from the regular Redmi Note 7 will be an update in the chipset. Unlike the Snapdragon 670, the Note 7 Pro will supersede with an all-new Snapdragon 675 SoC.
We’ve seen some early tests on the Snapdragon 675 SoC, and the scores are slightly more than the Snapdragon 710 SoC. Scores apart, the SD675 CPU couples a slower GPU, a less capable ISP, and is built on a more cost-effective 11nm manufacturing process. Other rumors point to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
Anyways, the phone will cost $200 cost for the 4/64 GB version. The 6/64 GB Pro variant will set back at CNY1,599 or $240.
