Xiaomi is the no.1 smartphone brand in India. The company made a massive hit in Indian markets with the Note series in past. The series is still the most selling Xiaomi series in the country. Xiaomi has now launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro in India at an event in New Delhi.
To embark with the model variants, Xiaomi is offering the handset in either 4/64GB and 6/64GB configuration. While the one with 4/64GB configuration sets you back at INR 13,999, the later one comes just at INR 15,999 only. The prices are on par with the Redmi Note 5, and you can purchase the handset via Mi.com and Flipkart.
With that said, the Redmi Note 6 Pro will replace the Redmi Note 5 Pro that was launched in India earlier this year in February. While the Redmi Note 5 Pro is not a year old, it seems that it is the fastest replacement that the company has made for a handset in India. We guess that it is due to high market demands that the company had to make quick steps.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro shares a lot of similarities with the Redmi Note 5 Pro. While the design seems to be reminiscent, it is a slight revision and feels a bit thinner. Also, you get a slightly taller display with a notch. The rear cameras have been upgraded with a new 12MP primary sensor.
The minor improvements on the Redmi Note 6 Pro may not bother you much. You can always consider sticking to the older one until Xiaomi has something better to offer at this price segment.
